We use only the best Australian Merino wool
At Merinnamorata we use the best Australian Merino wool. The fabric is knitted and dyed in an environmentally conscious facility in Australia.
All Merinnamorata fabrics are Oeko-Tex 100 certified (Label number: HKKO 050555) and our Merino wool is produced at an RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified facility.
Oeko-Tex certified products are completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use. To attain Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, the fabric has been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be harmful to human health.
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a statement that sheep are treated with respect to their five freedoms: the freedom from hunger and thirst, the freedom from discomfort, the freedom from pain, injury or disease, the freedom to express normal behaviour and the freedom from fear and distress.
Superfine Merino jersey we use to our collections is made from a soft, elegant Australian wool yarn. This yarn is truly luxurious, having traditional uses in creating garments of the highest quality.

Merinnamorata manufacture
Merinnamorata is the meeting of two worlds – classic combined with the finest craftsmanship.
Quality in its most authentic form and flawless craftsmanship represent the values upon which the designers of Merinnamorata have built this brand, values embraced by all the craftsmen they teamed up within the atelier.
Each of our pieces are created in a small-scale European workshop that is TUV Rheinland certified (Management system ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015), where we work closely alongside our skilled tailors.
We use high quality threads (Brillant) in the process of manufacture, threads that are planned and produced under strict specifications, controled by ecological (Standard 100 by Oeko-Tek) and international standards in order to satisfy the most demanding applications.
We believe in quality, not just in the products we create but in the life of those that make them. To this end, our tailors are provided with above-average wages and safe, ethical working conditions.

Everything you should know about Merino wool fabric that we use
The Merino wool that we use is grown on farms with sustainable farming practices from around Australia including Victoria's South West, Tasmania, Western Australia and NSW Tablelands.
The wool and yarn is knitted into luxurious jersey fabrics in a Australian mill that is certified ISO:9001 (Australia) and ISO:14001 (Australia) using 100% Australian Merino wool. It is the finest and softest wool in the world. Its natural benefits are so great that no other fibre - natural or man made - can match it.
Merino wool is a natural fibre grown year round by Merino sheep farms across Australia using sustainable farming practices. The Merino wool sheep are consuming a simple blend of natural ingredients including sunshine, water, fresh air and grass.
The wool fibre that we use is 18.5 micron (superfine) and the average human hair is between 50-100 micron, which shows just how soft this premium fibre is.
We love this unique fibre for its quality and versatility. Nothing else feels, looks or wears like Australian Merino wool.
